Do What You’re Good At, Not What You Love

Do What You’re Good At, Not What You Love
September 15, 2016 admin

They say do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.

What they don’t tell you is that most people are not lucky enough to find what they love and if even if they do…they make be very broke doing it.

‘But money isn’t everything Amanda.’ – Somebody, somewhere

Correct. But it sure the hell helps.

Yes, you can turn your passion into profits but its not always that simple. For example, I love to dance. I enjoy nothing more than a butterflying to the beat, dance handing it like Drake and river dancing around the room. But frankly, I’m not really good at it. I know this and so does anybody who has ever seen me dance. I still love it, but nobody will ever pay to see me hit the running man. EVER. Fortunately – I’m really good at PR and some other things too that mostly involve sitting at a computer ….and I’m sure there are things you may not even know you’re exceptional at yet, you just visualize and manifest them.

No bullshit here – no magic beans or skin teas. There is a quick and easy way to find new great career options and business opportunities for yourself, that are likely obtainable.

Below I’ve included my ideation worksheet. This sheet will help you brainstorm on finding new product and professional ideas that can kickstart the career path you want.

When I’m a parent one day, I’m going to tell my children what I tell new graduates now, which is to love to work and to push through the times when you don’t love it. Nowadays, work is a concept society just doesn’t get — that it’s a privilege to work toward bigger and better goals, and to eventually earn your career.
